The 1975 have announced an arena tour for 2016.

The 1975 2015 Tour

This December, the band will embark on their first ever arena tour of the UK.

Manchester Arena will be the first stop on their tour, with a show taking place on 13th December. This will be followed by shows at The O2 in London, Newcastle Arena, Glasgow Hydro and Bournemouth International Centre.

The band will bring their UK tour to an end with a show at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena on 22nd December.

The 1975 also released the video to their upcoming single “Somebody Else” this week, which is due for release on 19th August. The single comes from their latest album “I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it”, which was released in February and topped the charts in both the US and UK.

The band’s Matt Healy hopes that their success will continue, telling NME earlier this year: “I just want to be the band of this time. The one. The four boys in a band who play instruments.”

Tickets for the shows go on sale tomorrow (15th July) at 9am, with O2 Priority customers already allowed early access.
