Buckethead has announced his first string of tour dates in four years.

This year, the American musician, famous for wearing a KFC bucket on his head, will be playing his first live shows since 2012, in support of his latest studio album, and theĀ 226th release in the Pike series.

The album was released on February 17th this year, in celebration of Michael Jordan’s birthday. Buckethead has also released another 14 albums already this year, alongside Pike #226.

From 2000-2004, Buckethead played guitar in Guns N’ Roses, and has worked with a number of other artists throughout his career. Adapting to a wide variety of different music genres, he has worked with the likes of Iggy Pop, Les Claypool and Bootsy Collins.

He will kick off his 2016 US tourĀ tomorrow (April 15th), in Lawrence, Kansas. This will be followed by performances in Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Georgia and many more US states throughout April, May and June.

Buckethead will play his final show on June 30th at The Highberry Music Festival in Ozark, Arkansas.
