Kula Shaker have announced a UK tour, to celebrate the anniversary of their debut album.

Kula Shaker 20th Anniversary K Album UK Tour

“K”, the band’s first album, was released in September 1996, and went to the top of the UK Albums Chart, going 2x Platinum.

It featured three top ten singles – “Tattva”, “Hey Dude” and “Govinda”, and was followed by follow-up “Peasants, Pigs & Astronauts” in 1999.

It remains their biggest success, and this year marks the 20th anniversary of its release. In celebration of the anniversary, Kula Shaker have announced a thirteen date tour of the UK.

Announcing the tour on their Facebook page, Kula Shaker wrote to fans: “Stop the clocK! To celebrate the 20th anniversary of K we are playing the album in its entirety for the first time throughout December.”

The tour begins on 1st December at the O2 Academy in Oxford, and continues until 18th December with a date at the O2 ABC in Glasgow.

Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday 3rd June at 9am.
