Paul Simon has announced a UK tour for later this year.
As one half of duo Simon & Garfunkel, he shared huge success with Art Garfunkel, with the pair getting to number one twice in the UK and US with albums “Bookends” and “Bridge Over Troubled Water”, as well as a number of popular singles including “Cecilia”, “Mrs. Robinson” and “The Sound of Silence”.
As a soloist, Simon had three UK number one albums, with 1986 record “Graceland” selling over 16 million copies worldwide. He also had several memorable singles with “You Can Call Me Al” and “Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard” some of his most remembered.
He’s now preparing to release his thirteenth album “Stranger to Stranger”, due out on 3rd June.
In support of the new album, he’s announced a UK tour to take place during this November.
The tour begins on 3rd November at the BIC in Bournemouth, and continues until 12th November at the Nottingham Motorpoint Arena.
In total, six dates have been announced with Paul also performing in Cardiff and Manchester, as well as playing two special gigs at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Tickets for the tour go on sale tomorrow, Friday 20th May at 9am UK time. Check out the full list of dates below:
