The 1975 have announced details of a 2016 Australian tour.
Having previously announced UK and European tour dates, the band have revealed that they will also be heading to Australia and New Zealand next year.
In an open letter to fans, frontman Matt Healey wrote: “The best way to start is the way we did before – in venues we have loved and in places that feel intimate enough to do a proper new show, with people who really want to be there or need to be there in some extreme cases.
“Due to the size of the venues that we feel are appropriate for this particular tour and taking into consideration the humbling dedication that I have felt from a lot of our fans I predict that only the most dedicated will end up with tickets.”
The first stop on The 1975’s Australia and New Zealand tour will take place in Auckland on 15th January 2016. The band will then head to Australia to play shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, with their final show being held in Perth on 23rd January.
