Zayn Malik has announced his first ever solo performance.
The singer will perform in Dubai later this year, for his first live concert as a solo singer since splitting from his former One Direction band-mates last year.
Celebrating his success after being the first ever male UK solo artist to debut at number one with their first album, when he released “Mind Of Mine”, Zayn has set a date for his first show.
He will take on the Autism Rocks Arena on Friday October 7th for a one-off show, which will see Zayn hit a milestone with his first concert, aside from his TV performances.
The concert will be organised by 117Live, the same company who organised One Direction’s huge Dubai show last year, following Zayn’s departure.
Thomas Ovesen, CEO of 117Live said: “This is basically the first announced public show for Zayn. Of course there’s an awful lot to come after that, but I think we’ll allow him to announce his plans. We’re just excited that we get to break the news of this first show and the only show in the region with Zayn.”
He added: “I haven’t attended the rehearsals. I just know, based on the budget that we are putting aside for the production, that it will be a fantastic show. I myself will probably not get a full idea of the visuals and the set-up until a few months before the show.
“We’ve been talking to his people solidly, I would say, for at least the last six months about when he would be able to do any live shows. It’s been in the making for quite some time.”
Tickets for Zayn’s Dubai show will go on general sale next week, and pre-register for tickets is now open at 117live.comFind more posts about zayn
